Why I started Caitlin’s Counting
Running a small business taught me one thing: the numbers matter, but they shouldn’t steal your joy. I started Caitlin’s Counting to build a business that gives me the freedom I wanted and to help other owners do the same. My goal is simple: tidy, reliable books that remove the stress of money management so you can focus on growth, make clear decisions, and enjoy the independence of running your business.
How I Work
✔ I set up simple systems (HubDoc + QBO) so receipts match bank feeds and month-end is boring in the best way.
✔ I link HubDoc/Dext with QuickBooks and your bank/card feeds so receipts auto-pull and match. One click saves you hours, prevents lost receipts, and keeps files audit-ready. Automation does the busy work; I make the judgement calls, so you get speed and a real bookkeeper who knows your business.
✔ You get concise monthly or quarterly reports and short check-ins, I flag problems early so you don’t get surprises.
✔ Clear boundaries and reliable turnaround: standard hours are Mon–Fri, 9:00–3:30 ET; after-hours work by prior arrangement.
A Little About Me
I’m a small-business owner myself, so I get the juggle.
When I’m not reconciling accounts you’ll find me skiing with my adventurous daughter in winter, tending a summer veggie garden, chasing the kids on their bikes, dancing in the kitchen, or sharing a glass of wine with my husband and best friend. Juggling family life and client work keeps me grounded and motivated to make bookkeeping simpler for small business owners.
